Participants
in Option 1 need to:
1) Fill out the application completely.
2) Work with the Casper's Fund director to decide on the amount of co-pay you
can afford. Complete the Casper's Fund contract and return it to AARF.
3) Make your co-payment directly to AARF. As soon as your co-payment is received,
we'll get your certificates to you.
4) Select a partner clinic and make an appointment. Find out if the clinic requires
any vaccinations. Most will require a rabies vaccination if your dog is not up
to date. You are responsible for the cost of any required tests or vaccinations,
and will pay these costs directly to the clinic. Casper's Fund does not pay for
the costs of any vaccinations or tests, under any circumstance.
5) Take your dog(s) to the clinic for the spay/neuter surgery.
Option 2:
1) Fill out the application completely.
2) Work with the Casper's Fund director to establish specific volunteer activities.
Possibilities might include:
• Organizing a neighborhood association meeting focused on humane and healthy
pet ownership
• Volunteering at animal adoption events
• Organizing a supplies donation drive, etc.
Complete the Casper's Fund contract and return it to AARF.
3) Complete your volunteer activities and receive your voucher. You will receive
a $15 subsidy (maximum: $75) toward the cost of a spay/neuter for every hour
of volunteer service. Upon completion of the volunteer hours, you will receive
a certificate for the amount of subsidy generated.
